Competition for primary schools - A Day in the Life of a Roman in Britain

To celebrate our Roman Britain season at the East Oxford Community Classics Centre this term, we are running a competition open to all Oxfordshire primary school children currently in Years 5 or 6 (and homeschooled children aged 9 - 11). The competition involves writing an account of the day in the life of an ancient Roman living in Britain. It can be an account of someone from any walk of life. There is a word limit of 400 words. The deadline for entries is Friday 3rd July.

Entries can be emailed to info@irisproject.org.uk with "Roman Britain Competition" in the title, and the name of the student and school (where relevant). Entries can also be delivered by post to:
